An autumn festival held in Munich in late September and early October, featuring the drinking of beer. Oktoberfest is the world's largest folk and beer festival with a travelling funfair, drawing around six million visitors annually. Oktoberfest is FREE! There is no official entry fee to Oktoberfest and 85% of seats in the beer tents are free.
Germany and above all Bavaria is known worldwide for its good beers. The centre of German beer is, of course, the capital of Bavaria: Munich. The Bavarian beer culture in Munich is world-famous not only because of the Munich Oktoberfest, but as well as Munich's surrounding areas that are hosts to traditional breweries, beer gardens, beer halls, beer cellars and of course lots of delicious beer.
On the Munich Beer Tour you will be shown the history of beer in Bavaria, you will be visiting the centre of Munich's beer culture and be shown where the locals drink beer and tell you, their secrets.
